The Litany Against Fear

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain

If you’re up on your Dune, you’ll recognize the above as an incantation of sorts Frank Herbert had some of the characters speak in times of stress to calm their minds and exert control over their emotions. This has always been one of my favorite sayings or quotes or whatever you want to call it.

Very Zen. I bet The Financial Philospher would like it.
